As well as design and supply of equipment, Red Marine also have a bespoke facility which provides specialist testing services to evaluate key aspects of offshore equipment performance. Specifically:

  • Pipe-lay tensioner pad qualification testing.
  • Power cable & umbilical tensioner pad qualification testing.
  • Characterisation of tensioner pad to product interaction
  • General support for tensioner pad design development programmes

The primary focus of the above testing is to evaluate the frictional and compression performance of Tensioner Pads, however other aspects such as fatigue performance or product integrity can also be investigated to suit individual customer requirements. The test rigs are also used to prove the performance of pads that have been designed and supplied by Red Marine.

Red Marine also offer the service to build bespoke test rigs to suit our clients requirements in other areas of equipment test.
